Hey girls! I'm just wondering if it's possible to bleach my old blue denim jeans COMPLETELY white, not off-white. Pure white. If so, how should I do it?

Soaking them in bleach would be the only thing I can think of, but I don't think you will get the results you are looking for.

I have to agree, I don't think you will get what you want, either. They are still going to have a slightly blue tint, even if you soak them in pure bleach. Not something you want to do since it will start the material rotting.

I don't know the name but it's by the aisle in the grocery store where you find Rite Dye (it's made by the same company). It's for taking the color out of a fabric (b/c you have to take the previous color out before you dye I guess). That might work. Bleach might work but it might make the jeans splotchy or tear through the material; anyway, that's what I'd worry about.

The product is made by Rit Dyes and is called "Color out". That might work to make the jeans white, but I'm guessing they might still have a slight blue tint to them. Let us know how it goes, if you try it. Good luck.
