Leather Boots digging into back of my heel?

Hi, I bought a beautiful pair of deep chocolate brown leather boots with medium heels from Aldo in vancouver bc a few years back-the boots are maybe 4 years old and have never given me fit problems before. I put them on the other day, it was pouring out (our weather is identical to Seattle's) & when I got home after wearing them all day to work and on transit, I had a sore spot on the back of my heel where the boot had been digging in. I've tried moleskin before with so-so results (good at bigger spots not so hot at tiny patches like this). Could the boot need reconditioning to fix this? I was wearing nylons that day,too-would socks have prevented this? pls help! i love my boots & want to keep wearing em.

Does it feel like there is a spot that is worn more on the inside of the heel? You could try wearing socks in them and see if that works, even with nylons. You can try the thin,

If they have been soaked through and dried, the leather may have shrunk.
