Navy slacks and boots

If one doesn't own a pair of navy boots , what color boots go with navy? I own a pair of black and brown, and now that it is getting cooler in the deep south, I often wear boots to work. Are black or brown boots appropriate? I'd love to start wearing my navy suits and slacks again.
I agree, it's hard to match shades of navy, and harder to find boots in navy. I'd go with the black boots if I were you. I cant' see brown and navy together, for me they clash badly.
I've run into the same problem. I have a great navy blue pant suit that I like to wear. The length of the pants are long so I always wear my 3.5" stiletto poiny-toed black leather boots with them....I would not recommend brown because you want your shoe to be darker that your pants.
Take Care,
Cindy
I think either would be fine with navy, as long as the same color is found elsewhere in your outfit. Ex. black boots, navy pants, black top or bag, etc.
