Does your office have rules for how to dress? Ban on cleavage? Mandatory pantyhose? How much influence does – or should -- your workplace have on how you dress?

I work from home so work has no influence on what I wear, unless I go to the office. The company I work for is pretty casual so I try to stay with business casual when I do have to go in. Not necessarily a dress, but not anything tacky.

We do have a dress code, but being a software company we're mostly techies, not fashion models.

My office has a moderate dress code. They don't want cleavage, torn clothing, stained clothing or flip flops. They expect us to dress is business casual, which I think leaves us a lot of freedom, and yet still asks us to respect each other.
