Okay, so I should have found a better title. lol

Anyway, how often do you go through your closet and drawers and get rid of things? I will be doing this next week, the rest of this week is pretty much devoted to things pertaining to my son's wedding. The last time was a few months ago, but I'm still getting rid of things from when I lost a lot of weight, and I'm not going back there.

Do you save things, with the intention of either losing to get into them, or just in case you gain and get back to that size?

I took a laundry basket full of clothes to donate last week.

I have a grandson like that. He's already outgrown pants that were bought in August. I know my daughter either gives them to friends with kids they will fit or donates them.

I'm fortunate with the children's clothing; my cousin, who lives nearby, has a son much younger than mine and a daughter who is a size or more smaller than mine (though she is 3 months older!).

My girl selects hand-me-downs from her brother; it's always

I spent last weeknd cleaning out and organizing my closet and drawers; I hate to admit how long overdue that was! I was pretty brutal in the tossing out; if I haven't worn it for a year, it's history and no regrets. :smileywink:

How do I get my husband to have that attitude?

I usually clean out my closet a couple of times a year, with the purged items going to my parish clothing drive.

My DH uses a couple of approaches: 1) something wore out or is indelibly stained - into the rag bag, 2) suddenly sick of it - into the donate pile, 3) "I can't find any hangers!" - massive closet purge.

I wish my DH had a system to get rid of things. He has more clothes than I do, and doesn't seem to want to get rid of anything, whether he wears it or not.
