Speaking as both an artist and lover of fashion, I LOVE Lady Gaga!!! Part of being an artist (especially in this post-modern era where most everything that can be done has already been done) is getting the public's attention.... it's very hard to do.

I think she is insane. The "meat dress" is a case in point, along with the egg one. I guess it's a case of to each their own.

i think shes way too out there these days. i used to like her music but now watching her perform is hard because her outfits are too distracting

I don't think of what she wears as fashion; I perceive it as performance art and costume, especially after reading a comment from her a few years back. She said something to the effect that some mornings she just wants to roll out of bed and throw on sweats, but then she considers the public image she has crafted and puts the work into donning her persona before stepping out of doors.
I don't mind her get-ups since I view them as set pieces, but I think it must take a lot of work and be fairly exhausting to be so inventive.
