Good afternoon everyone!! This is my first post since the boards have been revamped!!! I think I like. Today I've been doing quite a bit of cleaning, which has been pretty nice. It feels good to toss out and give away what I don't want nor need any more.

So how is everyone doing?

That's really good to know. I'll have to check them out. I live next to one. I need some new black pointy toed heels for fall and that carries into spring and summer!

I've always thought DSW is very affordable. There really is no full price in there since they get all their stuff from other retailers and mark it down. The clearance section is the best though. One of the pairs of boots I got was $99 retail, then $69 dsw markdown price, and finally $34 on dsw clearance. What's not to love about that? Plus your rack up points based on your purchases which are then converted to store cash and you get birthday store cash. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised if you go in there.

I'm good. I live in Oklahoma, so we were not affected in that way, but I'm sure many had family members and friends there.

I'm just so proud of your weight loss!!! It keeps my working at my goal!!!

I know at The Limited I shop at they have sales often. Like for now its 40% off full price stuff and then an extra 30% off sale items, which is pretty good.

I like the jewelry at Forever 21. I do have a few tops from them that I like.

I've never been in DSW. Are they real pricy? A had a friend say that, but I know she's not been in there for quite sometime. I live next to one. I'm looking for a nice pair of black pointy toed shoes and at Dillard's they have a pair for about $100 and I'm thinking of just getting them because the heel is the right height for me and its something I'll have for a long time.

I usually have a set plan of what I'm shopping for so that's a big help for me, and then other times I don't.

Good to see you Chic, hope all is still ok for you and you're not stuck in the east coast storms.  Here on the west coast we're just starting to see the beginnings of fall so I'm trying to prepare.  I haven't done my winter cleaning yet (yes I'm procrastinating), but I did get my car serviced and had my apartment winterized (new filter, pilot light lit, etc).  I also survived midterms and was amazed they created way more anxiety than I'm accustomed to.  The bottomline is I am doing well in my classes and now I need to focus on final exams and papers so I can keep on track.

In other news I officially had no choice but to update my work wardrobe because my weight loss has just become too noticeable.  You can only tuck in so many shirts, wear so many belts, use so many safety pins to disguise oversized clothing lol.  You'd suggesting going to The Limited before so I printed off a coupon and checked them out.  I haven't gone in there in years so I expected changes, but is it now normal for them to not allow coupons to be used on markdown items?  Also is it just me or does it seem like they don't really have sales?  They have regular priced items (students get a 15% discount with student id so I might try that in the future) and clearance items, but nothing in between.  So the pricing went from too high for me to somewhat affordable and it was just odd.  I left with a couple of pieces, but am still curious if there's a trick to shopping there and getting really good deals.  The style of clothing fits what I need for work and other occasions, but it still has to fit into my budget.

I was very impressed with Ann Taylor Loft.  I hate pants shopping, more than swimsuit shopping actually.  But they had the perfect style for me and 2 pairs in my size in black which was exactly what I needed.  The sales girl said they carry that style year round in other colors too.  And they were an extra 40% off the sale price.  Now that is the kind of bargain I was looking for.  They had a great mix of the business casual attire I need for work and often mix into date night/dressy occasions so I will be going back.

Then I hit up Forever 21 which is becoming a regular spot for me and was lucky to find some more items to work into a business casual wardrobe, including a dress.  I swear every time I go in there with the assumption that I won't find what I need I am pleasantly surprised and the prices are just ridiculously low.

Lastly I hit up DSW where I left with 2 pairs of boots (yay!) and a work-appropriate-can-stand-for-12-hours-straight pair of flats.  I've never owned boots and was just jazzed because now I have proper footwear to go with my leggings.

I was seriously on a mission to find a couple of skirts so I could join the skirts and tights masses, but didn't find any.  Will keep looking though.

Chic, I seriously don't know how women who love to shop do it.  In 4 hours I went to 4 stores and was completely exhausted.  And I had a shopping mission!  I was looking for business casual items in black.  I get easily distracted by color so a mission helped me stay on track.  I only bought one non black item, but it was still business casual.  Budget wise I did ok since most items were clearance or on sale, but I wasn't able to stack any of my coupons.  So there is definitely more for me to learn.
