Adding highlights would be a great change and spring isn't that far away, so that would be a good idea. Even lipstick is a good one too because it seems to stay on longer than gloss, or at least it has for me.

As for clothes, go and just try on clothes you don't normally wear to see what you can like. I don't mean you have to start dressing like Britney Spears to say your dressing differently than before. But it wouldn't hurt to step outside the box. And its just clothing, you can always change if you don't like it. Go to places that have sales people that suck at seeing if you need anything while you are in the dressing room because then you know they won't be coming around every 2-5 minutes to see if what you're trying on fits, so it gives you a chance to see what you like and what you can add to your wardrobe, but make it something different, it will help you get out of that fashion rut and now's a good time to get those fashion magazines since they are all about spring fashion, even if it doesn't feel quite like spring outdoors for the moment. It will give you ideas for hair, makeup and fashion for spring and it just might inspire you to step out of your shell and see you....2.0.

That's one thing I really love about that dress, now I just have to wait for it to get down to a price that I like and hope it fits as good as it looks. ;

Hmmm maybe I am more of the simple makeover type than the drastic type. Thinking back I realize I've kept my hair long and simply styled for so many years because I hated short hair cuts when I was younger. Everyone always thought I was even younger than I was and my neck was always cold. I could add some different layers or maybe a couple of highlights though to make it a little different. Good grief my stylist will be so thrilled lol.

Would you believe I have never owned a lipstick? I think I'm probably more of a gloss person since its pretty close to chapstick and won't stain everything. Hmmm I could try that. And if I'm going to spend 30 seconds putting on gloss I could add a minute to apply the expensive tube of mascara that I've worn maybe 3 times lol.

I think you're on to something about having to be able to recognize myself in the mirror. I think this is exactly why I've been stuck in the same clothing rut for decades. I could put on something drastically different and everyone could rave about it, but I don't look like myself when I look in a mirror and its disturbing. Perhaps I could opt for a simpler change that is still different, but not disturbing. Hmmmm me thinks I'll be doing some fashion magazine browsing over the next several weeks for ideas.

Sometimes a simple makeover is just changing the shade of lipstick that

Thanks. I really like how wide it is at the shoulders because then I don't have to worry about my bra straps showing so easily.

I say I'll do this every 5 years and then I end up not liking anything new. Every time I bring a photo of a new hairstyle to my stylist? It's almost exactly the same one I already have. Whenever I find a new clothing store to shop in and go nuts? I come home to put things away and realize that everything I bought looks eerily similar to whats already in the closet.

There is something very odd about that lol. Perhaps when I think makeover there is some sort of disconnect in my head that prevents me from actually picking something new. Hmmm.... I suppose I should fix that lol.

I'd wear that dress myself!!! I found a little black dress at White House Black Market, that I'm waiting for it to go on sale because I just can't bring myself to pay $150.00 for it, but $80 I will and its something I'll have a long, long time. Here's the pic of my dress.
