Looking back, what's your overall feeling of 2009?

How are things different from this time last year?

How are things the same?

What was the best thing to happen in 2009?

The worst thing?

If someone said to you a year ago that this is how your life would be a year later, would you have believed them? Why or why not?

Are you excited to see 2009 end to see what new things await in 2010, or anxious to finally get 2009 over with?

What was the biggest surprise you got in 2009, whether it was good or bad?

What's one thing you were finally able to do?

Do you feel like you grew as a person in 2009?

What's one wish for 2010?

I got this from another board! ;

I totally agree with that, what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. I've learned the meaning of that this year. I hope we can meet up in person while you're here in the US. Its good you find things that make you smile again.

Looking back, what's your overall feeling of 2009? It sucked, and it could've been better or a whole lot worse, so I guess it was okay.

How are things different from this time last year? I'm going to a party, and I have a happier outlook this year than last year.

How are things the same? I'm still alive! ;

I'd love to meet you Rita and had planned on doing just that. When the time comes we can exchange details if you like. Another thing I'm thinking of doing is buying a laptop for the trip so I can stay in touch while I'm there. I might buy that when I come over... your prices are so much more reasobale than ours.

That would be awsome. You should also get a cell phone while your here as well, then you would a more local number. At least a US number.

Good idea ! One of mine has international roaming on it but I'm leaving nothing to chance. I'm going to buy one over there.

Good idea. I know they just got a whole lot stricter on the flying thing since on Christmas day a terrorist was found on plan from Amsterdam...I think, to Detroit and he tried to blow the plane up, so they have bumped up their rules for flying. I would check and see what they are. Just thought I would give you a heads up about that.

Thanks ! It's been all over our news too and they showed us the precautions they're taking on this end for all flights to the US. I can't get over all the violence that's happening in the world today... even kids are committing outrageous crimes. I'm getting to dread watching the news because we're being fed a constant diet of it.

I don't even watch the news any more for that reason alone. Its just so sad to hear what's going on. But I don't let it get me down though.

If it wasn't for dh, I wouldn't even turn it on. The worst part for me is when they show animal cruelty of any kind. I can't watch it or even listen to it because it upsets me too much. I can take most things in my stride but never when it comes to the mistreatment of our beautiful animals. At the moment, the Japanese are in our southern waters murdering our whales. It makes me see red !
