Hello, all !
I have a question for you:
What is the most hair you've had cut off at one time, and why ?
The most I ever had cut off was probably close to 12 inches in length all together. It was 6 1/2 to below my jaw, and then styled so that it fell in layers- the longest about 3 inches- that got shorter as they went down and a tapered nape.
I'm new to this board, I usually visit the "...& Remove Hair" one, where you can find a fairly detailed explanation of how this came about under the "An off topic question" posting I did a little while back.

Hi xenotrip! Welcome to the board!
In my case it was a completely unplanned, spur of the moment decision. I was in a salon just visiting the stylist when, after finding out she was having a slow day, I decided to get my hair styled & colored liked a co-worker's.
I was intrigued by the question, and like the both of you I have only cut off 6 inches at once. But considering that my hair is over 3 feet long, cutting off six inches, and this was the first time I had ever cut my hair, that was alot!
I'm not brave enough to cut it all off! And besides, I love having long hair. :)
