7. Did you think music has gone down hill in the quality of the songs and artists? Quite a bit of it. I think the 90s had the best music, along with TV and movies as well.

I try not to listen to very many people from American Idol. But Kelly and Carrie are pretty good, even though
Leona Lewis wasn't on American Idol. She was just discovered by Simon Cowell. She did sing on the show but she was never a contestant.

How often do you go to music concerts to see your favorite band/artist? I used to go to a lot of concerts - rock, jazz or classical - but not now.
Who do you enjoy listening to on a regular basis? Elvis Costello, Rufus Wainwright, Damien Rice.

Did you think music has gone down hill in the quality of the songs and artists? No. There are a lot of artists writing, playing, singing great music out there in every genre possible but they might just not be mainstream.

There are just so many artists, it's difficult to choose from! So many people are hugely talented.
I grew up listening to Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett! I haven't listened to them in years, though. Which albums are you listening to?
I think my favourites in concert were Pink Floyd and David Bowie. Seeing Eurythmics when they were still available for concerts in small venues. It was really great seeing them in a small concert hall that only fit probably 200 people. And I really enjoyed watching Benjamin Britten's opera, Peter Grimes. Seiji Ozawa was the conductor, and it was a brilliant performance.
Elvis Costello does his own kind of music LOL! He's really done everything from rock to pop to classical, and has collaborated with many people, too. His wife is Diana Krall, the jazz singer and pianist.
