Hi gang! My friend in Northern Cali just informed that she has been using the OLAY Total Effects Beautiful Skin & Wellness Pack for the past 3 months and she claims that it is helping to control her eczema! While taking the OLAY Vitamins she said her skin is perfect! However, she went on vacation and didn't use the OLAY Vitamins for 2 weeks and her eczema started to act up and her skin was dry, rough and irritated. Anyone else had this similar experience with the OLAY Vitamins?

I've herd of the Olay Vitamins before but never tried it.

I am curious and I hope this isn't mean in any way, but what is eczema? I keep thinking that it's where the skin is really red like sunburned but all year round. Is this true or not? (Again I am not trying to offend or hurt anyone just seriously curious.)

My son gets it in the winter and my mom has it constantly.

Eczema, also called atopic dermatitis, is a chronic, inflammatory skin disorder. Its main features are blisters that dry to become scaly, itchy rashes. The skin becomes dry and itchy because too much moisture is lost from its upper layer. This leaves the skin without protection, making it easy for bacteria and viruses to penetrate. The disease occurs episodically; in other words, there may be periods when symptoms are severe (flares) and times when there are no symptoms at all (remission). Eczema is not contagious, but nevertheless it is very common—estimates are that more than 15 million people in the United States have eczema. People with eczema often have a personal or family history of allergic conditions like asthma or hay fever. There is no cure, but treatments can reduce symptoms and help prevent outbreaks.

Hi it has been a long time since I have been on this board, but I just stopped by and saw this post and I have a suggestion for all of the excsema sufferers out there.

My dad usually has really bad outbreaks but recently started using this new stuf called melagel which totally cleared up his outbreak, and then once it is clear he uses this lotion called renew to keep the outbreak at bay. I guess in a way it is like maintenence to keep it gone or something, but whatever it does it works GREAT! He always had the worst outbreaks on the elbows, around the eyes and on the ears, and they are now clear as they have ever been.

The lady that introduced him and his wife to this stuff said the company that makes this stuff has alot of other really good natural cleaners and things that are supposed to help with allergies, asthma and all sorts of things. If you are interested in contacting her you can just respond to this post and in the meantime I will find out how to get in touch with her!
