Weight gain due to pregnancy

Before I was pregnant, I had chubby cheeks and was able to deal with them alright (even though I hated them). I am currently pregnant about to have the baby any day now, and I've been thinking a lot about how I am going to be able to get my old self confidence back. I have gained a total of 50 pounds during my pregnancy, and feel it too. My face is chubbier, and I think I am starting to get a double chin! I was wondering if anyone had some good make-up tips to hide some of that, or if there is even a excersice that will work on my face (I dought it, but why not ask, right?). Thanks a ton!!

Congrads on the new baby! Welcome to the boards also!

You should loose the weight out of your face after you have the baby. It might take a few weeks but you will. Mainly you will want to do some tummy exercizes to strengthen you abs back. I gained some weight in my face with my son too.

I hope everything goes well and you have a precious healthy little baby! After you have it stop back in and tell us how you are doing.

Congratulations!!! A baby...how wonderful. 50 lbs. really isn't that much to gain. I'm sure you look beautiful and in a few short days you are going to bring a precious life into this world. How AWESOME!!!

You CAN use different shades of makeup to "sculpt" a thinner appearance. Always remember: light brings a feature forward and darkness makes it appear to recede.

Also you may want to try this exercise for the chin area: push your lower jaw forward for a count of 5 and then relax. Repeat 15 times. (This can be done through-out the day)

A lot of the "chubbiness" is probably water your body is holding onto in preparation for the birth. Don't stress...you will lose quite a bit of weight immediately after delivery.

Take care and good luck. Hugs.
