Stubborn grays - how can I foil my hair but touch up roots?

Is it just the time to stop with the foils? My grays are coming in quicker. :( Or is there some other way to make it between salon visits?

I agree with the other poster that experimenting is not a bad idea here. See what you think looks best on you and go from there. I think that once you have the color that you like, you are going to save yourself a bit of money by going the way that you did

My sister has had to go to an all over color too because trying to keep up with her grey hair and highlights has become too expensive. I personally think she looks better anyways so you might want to try a few different shades to find the one that suites you best.

I felt like I was wasting my money on foils because just a few weeks later I needed touch ups. It got too expensive to maintain and I felt like my hair was becoming damaged. I went to an all over color and just get root touch ups. I tend to get some natural highlights from being outdoors quite a bit so that helps.
