It had always been known that you have to clean your face before you go to bed at night to clean impurities and make up that may wrinkle your face eventually if you do not do it so as your face may clog from dirt and impurities.

But I was wondering also if cleaning your face every day will do more harm than good to  your face. I came to this conclusion for the fact that everyday you are removing your natural oils that I read are also important for your face and the more you clean your face the more you are getting rid of those natural oils. Also cleaning everyday you are touching your face everyday and the face is super sensitive and the less you touch your face the better it is for future wrinkles not to appear that soon.

I have T zone skin I believe, Im in my 40's even if I do not put moisturizing or anti wrinkle cream on my forehead, it becomes a bit oily at the end of the day. I clean my face every day at night after a day of work to remove make up but I always wonder if by cleansing and cleansing your face will become dull instead of bright, smooth, and young.

The are 5 basic steps to skin care:  cleanse, exfoliate, freshen/tone, moisturize and protect.   It is important to use the CORRECT formulas for your skin type.  Even acne prone or oily skin needs moisturizer and even dry skin needs to be cleansed.

You absolutely want to wash your face, at least once a day. Even with not wearing makeup, those natural oils in your skin will clog your pores. Same for any flaking skin. You don't have to wash like you're at a spa, but you definitely should wash to get rid of your natural and environmental impurities. :)

Seems like a really good idea to clean it every day.  I don't wear makeup but i still clean it every night.  I'm 38 and I don't want to get that clogged look, especially because my pores are somewhat large already.

OTOH, my best friend does wear makeup and she prefers to keep it on at night for her bf.  So far her skin is absolutely flawless. She uses silk pillowcases, changed a couple times a week, and apparently that helps for some reason.  Also uses very specific brands of makeup, removes it after work, cleans up, and reapplies it in the late afternoon -- she does take it seriously!
