crunchy ends

I haven't been here in awhile, what a changed look!

Anyway, I have a weird problem... I wash and condition my hair daily... It is medium brown underneath, (I just dyed the underneath with natural instincts) and dark blonde with light blonde highlights on the top. It's been this way for awhile... It's pretty long, and very thick, ringlet wavy but not curly. So my problem is this, after I wash my hair (every day) as it drys, the ends get crunchy... the top is soft... the middle is soft, and the ends feel like, dried leaves. It's not like dry hair, it is actually crunchy. Am I not rinsing the ends enough? Am I overrinsing them? I've used many different shampoos, Garnier Fructis, CitreShine, Pantene, right now I'm using Redken Allsoft shampoo and conditioner, and this happens with all of them. I do not blow dry, and I don't put anything in my hair at all... no leave in conditioners or mousses or anything. I have to wash daily because I am a fitness instructor, and I go to the gym daily. By the way, my bangs are now to my chin, and they do not get crunchy on the ends...

Thanks so much!!!

It sounds like a case of dry, damaged ends because you've dyed your hair in addition to blonde highlights plus you tried almost everything to soften the ends, I'd suggest you to get a trim, at least by 1 inch if you don't want to lose your length. When I had my hair bleached and colored a lot, the ends became fried and crunchy due to damage, so I had to trim them off and got better.

Olive oil treatment would help as well. :) A great home remedy according to many people who experienced this, esp. with those with long hair.
