Pixie Cuts: What Do Guys Think?

Because the closely cropped chop is having such a moment for women, we decided to find out how guys are really feeling about the 'do. Turns out, for many of them, it's (unsurprisingly) a don't.

They aren't into trends: "I'm not attracted to major changes and the trendiness of a pixie lends itself just to that," says Ryan, 29. Adding, "It looks too cool for me."

I don't think this is too much of a surprise.  When deciding what cut you are going to get, do you think much about how your partner/spouse will like it?

I've had short hair consistently since I was 17.  When I was 22, I briefly grew it to shoulder length, which required a body wave (it was the 80s), since my hair is very thin and flat.  I got a lot of attention, but I felt it was just random "pretty girl" attention - in other words, no one was seeing *me* and my short-hair personality, they just saw a generic "pretty girl."  I always felt that when my hair was short, only discriminating men who had more sophisticated taste would find me attractive, and I liked that.  Still do.

DH met me when I was 20 and had short hair, so no conflicts there.  30+ years later, he'd still agree that I look best with short hair.
