My Friday will be sent sitting in the waiting room again at CHP. Waylon is having surgery again today to be closed up, scheduled for 4 hours, but you never know how long it will take.
Rita~ I don't mind sharing Waylon's story at all. :) so ask any questions you want.
Last year, February 15, 2009, he woke up around 9:30 that night complaining with abdominal pain. He threw up a couple times and had a couple bowel movements. This would have been all normal, since there was a virus going around our area and he was in Kindergarten and we all know that kids pass all of that stuff around.
WOW!! That's a lot to go through as a little kid. If all goes as planned, when does he get to come home, if he's not already? I hope the best for you and your family.
The doctors keep saying that there is no "normal" which I totally agree. But we are looking at probably 3 months as inpatient (give or take) and then we will have to stay here around 6 months because he will have bi-weekly clinical visits and once weekly scopes for a few months to check for rejection. Those slowly taper down. We live 4 1/2 hours away from CHP, and I can not drive 4 1/2 hours one way 2 or 3

What kind of surgery is your son having done?
My son had a small intestine transplant last Saturday (08/14) and they went back in today and closed his stomach up.
What brand of polish is Lucky Lucky Lavender? Sounds really pretty!
I hope all that goes well. Why did he have that done if I'm not being nosy?
Its by OPI. Its a pink-ish lavender. I love it for summer.

I agree with that. At least you have a place to stay. So will he stay with you in your "room" until he's able to go home?
