how do i get rid of these bubbles?!

I have great nails and do good self-manicures except for one thing. I get these little bubbles on my nails when I polish them. Not all the time, and not on all the nails, but it's a pretty consistent problem. What am I doing to cause this? They're like little tiny bumps, like air bubbles got trapped in the polish or something--sometimes just a few on a nail, sometimes all over the nail. Help!

Are you polishing your nails under a ceiling fan? Or in a draft?
That may be the problem......
it's been suggested here a million times (and yet I still fall to shaking the bottle myself) that you turn the bottle upside down and roll it between your hands instead of shaking it. That should reduce the amount of air bubbles.
However... Avon, in their infinite wisdom, makes squarish bottles so this is difficult since i'm an Avon nailwear junkie.

I would also like to add that your nails need to be totally clean of any oil or lotion before you apply your polish as well. Use polish remover or you can also wash you hands and nails in soapy water to remove any residue.
Try all of the suggestions mentioned. I bet those bubbles won't be there next time you polish your nails.
