How do I stop this?

Hi everyone. I saw the previous post about peeling, but I have a slightly broader question. I've always had crappy nails. They barely grow, and when they do, they split and peel to the point where I have to cut them down again, and a few nails even peel off to mid-nail, which leaves months, if not years, of waiting for them to regrow normally. I've always had this, I'm told, because I have a calcium deficiency and vitamin D deficiency (since birth). I was using Nail Protex since summer or so, and my nails actually stopped being so bad, but a few weeks ago, right before I went on vacation, they started again. Are there any remedies for this other than the Nail Tek recommended before? I do take calcium supplements, but I don't see any improvement at all (in my nails at least). (I'm 22, by the way, in case that makes a difference)

Thanks :)

Hi angel

It could be that you are filing/cuting your nails when the nail is actively growing, filing/cuting the nail when they are actively growing greatly weakens the nails. Your nails will become much stronger if you only file/cut them during the waning moon. You can get a free nails plan from http://www.lunatips.com, it wont cost you a cent as it is free.

I have had long strong nails consistently for the last 18 months following this plan.
