How often do you change your polish?

I think the one thing that keeps from polishing my fingernails often is the fact that they chip/fade so quickly.  I find that I have to re-do my polish every 2-3 days to keep them looking decent.  How often do you change up your polish? Any suggestions to keep my manicure looking nice for longer?

I am the same way, which is why I wear clear on my nails most of the time.  If I put color on them, I only keep it on for 2-3 days at most and its always a very light or nude type color or a french manicure.

Yep. I have the same issue. I keep my toes polished frequently as they stay nice for longer, but I tend to stick to with clear polish on my fingers for day-to-day wear. I'll polish them with color when I have a special event or outing.

Do you use a good base coat and top coat?  They both make a big difference in keeping polish from chipping.  Right now I'm using Essie Ridge Filler as my base and Essie Good to Go topcoat (dries & hardens manicure in 15 mins - awesome).

Also, keeping your nails short helps a lot.

I change my polish once a week but mid-week I touch up the tips and add another coat of color and another of topcoat.  I've been doing this for many years and my manicure almost always looks great.

I don't use a base coat usually especially because I can't do the french manicure with a base coat on it, but I do use a pretty good top coat and still have significant chipping after a day or two, but it may be because I am typing all day every day. I don't keep mine super long, but I don't like them super short either.
