It rained a little bit the first day and it was very windy Saturday and Sunday night. With the wind and waves it woke us up and it sounded like semi trucks. Very scary By Monday it was nice - about 85 degrees. Then the rest of the week it was in the 90's - hot! I am so sunburned and it's painful. Even my face is red LOL!

Mmm...that's not good at all, but at least it was just the waves and wind and nothing else!

Isn't there something you can put on your sunburn to calm it down? I know there is, but I can't think of what though.

I tried vinegar to get the "sting" out but I still have the sunburn. It's mostly around my armpits and where my bra straps lands. Real uncomfortable and my back now itches!

And I used an SPF of 50! Still, I got sunburned!

Maybe its oat meal that you can do that with. I hope it calms down for you real soon.

So what's new with you?

This evening I had heart racing for about 5 hrs, but I think its just from the heat. I get my hair cut today (Wednesday) at 4pm into

Oh dear - are you alright now? The sunburn isn't too bad now but every now and then my back itches - in the middle of my back where I can't reach! It drives me crazy!! And I'm peeling a little bit.

Other than that, just getting things back to normal. The dogs aren't eating very much. This happens all the time when I have them boarded. I guess they're used to the rich food they're given, then they come home and have Iams.

It's raining here today...probably due to the Tropical Storm Gustav. I need to get caught up on laundry. Yesterday I didn't do much but I did take a 2 hour nap LOL!!

Yeah, once it stopped I was fine. Taking fish and flax seed oils seem to help alot.

I love my new hair cut. I have cut jaw length and I love it. Plus Sunday night I dyed it dark brown.

This afternoon we went to Wal Mart. And as we were getting into our van, I saw a woman holding child, about 3 or 4 yrs old, fall. At first I thought she fell off the curb since she was standing next to it. But the look on her face didn't look too good at all. Once she was on the ground she started shaking because she was having seizuers? and EMSA was called. We didn't stay around because about 5 or 6 other people were there and some were helping her. It kinda shook my mom and I up, even though help was on the way. As we were about to leave the parking lot, EMSA was pulling in and someone was pointed to where she was at. We had tears in our eyes because we felt sorry for her and that's something you don't see every day, well we don't at least.

Oh Rita, how sad! I wonder if the lady had an epileptic seizure or something like that that would cause a seizure. That would have made me tear up too! When I was in 3rd grade I remember being on the playground playing and a girl had an epileptic seizure. A few teachers were struggling with her on the ground - trying to get a pencil in her mouth so she wouldn't swallow her tongue. At that age it was scary to me.

Your new haircut sounds nice. Maybe you can send me a picture

Nothing much going on today. I'm caught up on laundry. I think the rain is out of here so I'm happy. We got 4 inches yesterday but other parts of the state got 10 inches!!

She was with some of her family I'm guessing, and I'm sure this wasn't a first for her, but I hope the best for her.

Today I haven't done all that much. Tonight I'm watching the MTV Video Music Awards and here are some pics of Christina Aguilera on the red carpet. I think she looks awsome, but I don't know what I think of the blue eyeline though. Tell me what you think

Hmmm, at first I didn't recognize her! Her look has really changed. At first thought...in the pictures she looks like a porn star!! LOL, sorry I don't care for her makeup or that long bleached hair. She doesn't look soft any more. What do you think?

What did you do this weekend? We were behind in yard work so dh mowed ALL weekend. I'm sure he's tired of yard work. But the good thing is our old gardener came by for visit on Saturday and it looks like he'll be working for us for a few months.

Saturday night we ate out at a mexican restaurant and last night dh grilled barbeque chicken with corn on the cob, rice and a small salad. It was yum-yum. Last night we watched a movie "Into the Wild". It was quite good!
