Ok, i promise i wont bug you ladies to death - i havent had this much fun with my nails in SO long! I used to get my nails done profesionally (french tips) and it got to where i didnt have time to get them done, and they were always comming off - just a pain, but pretty and frilly while they lasted. Before that i wrapped them (silk) and that just took WAY to much time. So now, doing the nailtek thing, its quick, easy, and it works! So here are my questions:

Some of this stuff is hard to find like solaroil, and the nailtek, where do YOU get them? If from website, which one?

where and how do you keep your nail supplies? (ie bag, box, etc.)

what do you use to get the rough spots off your feet? (im moving to my toenails now) :-)

do you have a particular lotion you like for your hands and/or feet?

how long is nail polish good for? (shelf life)

Ok, thast all - thank you all for all your help, i hope im not being to pushy, im just having so much fun! :-)

Katie,

I agree! It is too much fun to see results in the appearance of your nails when you take care of them.

****************************************************************************************

Some of this stuff is hard to find like solaroil, and the nailtek, where do YOU get them? If from website, which one?

**You can try to visit Trade Secret. They carry the SolarOil and OPI, Essie, and Creative Nail Design products.

www.beautyofasite.com (go to the hands and feet section)

www.essie.com

www.opi.com

www.seche.com

where and how do you keep your nail supplies? (ie bag, box, etc.)

**I have my frequently used manicure supplies on a bag and all my polish bottles (a whole 10) I keep in the closet in a rubbermade container.

what do you use to get the rough spots off your feet? (im moving to my toenails now) :-)

**I love natural pumice stones. Keep one in the shower and use that when you remember. You can also try an AHA cream to help loosen the extra hard skin and calluses.

do you have a particular lotion you like for your hands and/or feet?

**As far as lotion, use one that is not too greasy and one that absorbs quickly. Ladies on this board LOVE the SolarOil line of hand creams. I haven't tried them. My favorite right now is the Sally Hansen Radiant Hands, Nails and Cuticles Cream. It smells like sunny oranges and it has essential oils in it.

**When my polishes get too goopey I use a few drops of thinner. Sally Beauty Supply carries this. Seche also make a thinner that I like. www.seche.com

Ok, thast all - thank you all for all your help, i hope im not being to pushy, im just having so much fun! :-)

nail polish lasts for about a yr I think (you'll see it gets thicker with age).

coco butter on feet and hands

for rough spots on feet a pumis stone in the shower, or a nail file block

Nailtek I find at a Duane Read Drug store Solaroil is sold at Rite Aid

Nail polishes and implements (files, drills glue powder, and tips are kept in a blue tackle box by my bed,(dont laught I just cleaned it out and got rid of a bout 30 bottles of polish!)

Hi Katie! I think it's great to see you so excited about your nails and nail products. It can get addictive that's for sure!

To answer your questions:

Some of this stuff is hard to find like solaroil, and the nailtek, where do YOU get them? If from website, which one?

I get my nail products from a professional beauty supply. Since I'm a licensed nail professonal I am able to shop there.

where and how do you keep your nail supplies? (ie bag, box, etc.)

I keep all of my nail goodies in a plastic make-up bag in my home office closet.

what do you use to get the rough spots off your feet? (im moving to my toenails now) :-)

I use a callus smoother to remove the calluses and then use Creative Nail Designs Cucumber Heel therapy. Helps moisturize and protect my feet.

do you have a particular lotion you like for your hands and/or feet?

My favorite hand cream is SolarButter, it contains the same ingrediants as SolarOil. It's rich and creamy! And I use Cucumber Heel Therapy on my feet.

how long is nail polish good for? (shelf life)

It really depends on how often you use the polish. If you use it often, the shelf life is going to be less because it is exposed to more air. I would say on average 6 months to a year. Make sure you store it in a cool place and out of direct sunlight.

Great Questions by the way!
