Nail Ridges...

If you all remember, I got acryllics done before Christmas of this year. Then I took them off in January. My nails were a wreck and I'm just now getting them healthy and strong again. Some of my nails have deep ridges going vertically across the nail below where my nail bed starts. I was wondering if anyone has any product advice to heal the ridges or at least fill them in so they are not noticeable when I wear nail polish.

Hi Michelle! Great seeing you on the board again.

Just curious to know if the nail professional used a drill to file your nails? I see what you described most on women that have had enhancements and then a drill was used. Just curious, hope you don't mind me asking.

There's nothing you can do to "heal" the ridges. They will have to grow out. You may want to try either Orly or Sally Hansen Ridge filler. I have not personally used either of these products, but I have heard good things about them.

Maybe someone else has a suggestion or comment on the products I've listed above.

Good luck and check in with us more often!

She used a file first and then a drill. Or vice versa. I can't remember, but I know that both were used. I figured I'd have to grow them out, but I was just wondering if anyone had any product recommendations. Thank you for your advice!

Hi Michelle

I dont really suffer from this prob anymore as now i only remove my ridges during the waning moon, so now i have lovely smooth nails all of the time.
