My lovely MIL gave me a gift certificate to get a pedicure done.  I've never had one before and I'm super ticklish so I'm nervous!  What can I expect?  What all do they normally do to your feet when you have a pedicure done?  Trying to prepare myself and work up the nerve all at the same time!

I have very ticklish feet too.  I don't get pedicures during the winter, so the first pedicure of spring, when my feet are unused to being handled, always has me a little on edge.

Usually they'll cut or file your nails, soak your feet in a whirlpool, push back the cuticles, cut the cuticles (but they should ask first & you can say no), put some scrub on your feet and file calluses, apply lotion & massage it in (most places will go all the way up to your knees), paint your nails and sit you with your tootsies under a dryer for 10 mins.

I get a pedicure every other week from April through October, and I love them.  It's a nice relaxing time, and my feet look great.  Careful - you may really like the way it looks & feels and want to start doing them all the time. ;)
