So for Christmas my DH got me the SH Gel (this one: http://sallyhansen.com/products/nails/gel-nail-color/salon-gel-polish-starter-kit). I just got a free moment to try it out (I've had clear on my nails since Christmas). Pay no attention to the 'white' next to my nail. That's a dried spot from wiping the nail with nail polish remover prior to application, lol.

Overall I'm going to give this kit a 9 out of 10. The colors are lacking, but overall, I loved the process. It's one coat of the base, two coats of the polish, one coat of the top—all 30 seconds curing (which is how long the light stays on for). I did the final cure twice though, *just* to be sure. ;)
The baby has grabbed my nail and pressed it and pulled it and so far so good. And for this OCD/perfectionist, it's perfect because I'll get my entire nail covered and not have globs etc., since I look at the nail in ever direction possible, lol.

Erin - I'm impressed! It looks very nice and the process sounds good. It doesn't seem to take too much time - about the same time it takes me to do my nails LOL
What color is this one?

Thanks! It's Wine Not. It's wearing at the tips, but no more than normal polish/gel would. I have found that it's thinner than a salon job, but it could just be how heavy-handed my girl is with application vs what I did with this version. I think I may use a thicker base the next go.
Erin, it looks great. How long has it lasted? And how hard is it to remove?
