Hi everyone. I saw the previous post about peeling, but I have a slightly broader question. I've always had crappy nails. They barely grow, and when they do, they split and peel to the point where I have to cut them down again, and a few nails even peel off to mid-nail, which leaves months, if not years, of waiting for them to regrow normally. I've always had this, I'm told, because I have a calcium deficiency and vitamin D deficiency (since birth). I was using Nail Protex since summer or so, and my nails actually stopped being so bad, but a few weeks ago, right before I went on vacation, they started again. Are there any remedies for this other than the Nail Tek recommended before? I do take calcium supplements, but I don't see any improvement at all (in my nails at least). (I'm 22, by the way, in case that makes a difference)

Thanks :)

Hi angel919! I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with your nails. Have you tried Nail Tek formula II and SolarOil and it didn't work for you? Just curious to know why you were interested in something other than Nail Tek. It has worked wonders for so many ladies on the board.

There's a lot that can affect the health of nails. One your diet, stress, medications and overall health.

You may want to schedule an appointment for a Manicure and consulation with a nail professional in your area. Maybe he/she can come up with some sort of solution for you.

I wish I had more advice to give!

Best of luck and please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
