They constantly rip!!

Background: I've been a nail-biter since childhood. I learned it from my mother. For about 4 years now, I have been on a mission to quit biting my nails. I'm doing pretty well so far; the longest I've gone without biting has been about a month and a half. I normally bite them when I get stressed out or when their shape/texture just bothers me to no end and I feel like I have to bite them.

I haven't bitten my nails in almost a month now. I've been painting them a different color about every week and a half. Last week they were doing really well and growing really nicely. But in the past few days, 4 of my nails have ripped almost completely off. I've discovered them at extremely odd/random times, mostly when the rips catch on my hair in the shower. I use strengthening and growing treatments religiously almost every day. Any clue what could be causing my nails to rip so often? How can I prevent it? Thanks!

As I said in my previous post to you - your nails are ripping because they're dry. We all get rips

Thank you!! I saw your post in the other thread but I figured I would respond to you here. That is some great advice. Do you know of any products, other than just clear polish, that I could use to help them out a little bit?

I recommend Nail Envy (by OPI). I think you can get it at Target (previous poster mentioned it) and if not you can try a nail
