I saw this article and just had to ask!

Gwen Stefani Took Her Son to Get a Manicure -- Would You?

I don't think either of my boys would have even wanted to go to a salon with me at that age; I can't imagine them letting anyone polish their nails. Heck, with my oldest, it wasn't until he discovered girls that he even wanted to wash his hands without a battle! LOL

Seriously, though, it took them a while before they realized well groomed hands could still be masculine.

No, but I wouldn't stop him if he wanted to paint his nails, either. Why is nail polish just for girls, anyway? We've created these narrow, arbitrary rules that say "this is just for girls" or "this is just for guys"...why? Fashion has changed so much over the years, and what we consider masculine or feminine today didn't always used to be that way. Most people don't bat an eye when women wear mens' clothes, why should it be any different for the reverse? Besides, I don't see how our outward appearance has anything to do with who we are on the inside.

Just my two cents.

God bless!
