Yellow nail polish?

Would you wear yellow nail polish? No, really...would you? I don't think I could or would. It's just a color that seems to reek of " NO!!!" lol
I will not try yellow nail polish. I have a gold sparkly one I purchased a while back and when I put it on, it just didn't look right. I think my skin color was just too light for it. Oh well... While I love experimenting with colors on my nails, after the gold nail polish incident, I try to steer away from lacquers that have a yellow tint.
I have the same problem with my skin color and pinks. A very light pink does not look good with my skin color so I stay away from pinks. I like dark colors. One of my favorites is a grape purple. I've been wanting to get a navy blue. One of these days!!
Hello Terre,
I've been in your situation before, I always get myself away from yellow or light pink colored nail polish..but later I got some good ideas on how to use this color... http://www.diynaildesigns.com/2010/06/blossomy-garden-nail-art.html
Yes, it's wise to use light colored nail polish as a basecoat to enhance a design. Now I have the chance to put on this yellow colored polish to my nails...just have a design over it.

Thanks Jessica! I never use designs on my nails - just a basic color. But those designs are interesting, pretty to look at .
I'm
Maybe if we were back in the 80's with the hot colors. ;) Matter of fact, I think I did own the hot yellow. Matched my hot yellow shorts. LOL
Now, no, won't touch yellow. The oddest color I've done as of late is the Shrek colors. The Fiercely Fiona was a bit on the yellow-green side. Was not a flattering color. Fun to wear for the movie, but not something I'd wear normally, lol.
LOL - those Shrek colors aren't too bad. Of course, they wouldn't work on me. Too light. I just cannot see light pastel colors with my skin color ;-( - I'm
