Hi

I'm looking for a good flat iron. I have long(up to my waist) hair and is wavy. There is so many out there so is a little confusing. I appreciate any recommendations.

Hi and welcome to the board! Wow... I bet your hair is gorgeous; I've always envied long wavy locks. Unfortunately, I know absolutely nothing about flat irons; my own hair is too straight for my taste as it is. But if you don't mind a suggestion, you might want to try posting your question on the Hair Tips board; the CL there is pretty knowledgable about all kinds of tools for hair. And the members are really great sharing their experiences, too! You can find that board here:

I hope that helps some...and when you do find a flat iron that you love, I hope you'll stop back by here and share your find! Flat irons are a very popular tool... I know many visitors to the board would be grateful for the info that comes from personal reviews! ;-)

I've used different brands of flat irons and the best one for me is the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it has tourmaline ceramic plates which cause less damage to the hair, it leaves my hair soft, shiny and super straight.

My hair is rather stubborn so I've tried quite a few hair straighteners with little luck. Some have been unable to straighten my hair, and some have caused my hair to break, despite using heat treatment serums and creams on my hair... The iron that I use currently can be found here http://www.folica.com/tools/flat-irons/hai-convertable-ceramic-flat-iron. I would recommend it, but if you aren't convinced the site has quite a few reviews of other flat irons that may be good for you.
