DH has a big birthday (50) and my dad's birthday is the next day. Summer school ends Aug 9 and I get a break from driving the bus until the day after Labor Day when school starts back again. That is all of my celebrations this month.
There are no birthdays in my immediate family this month, but my friends' daughter turns 15 this weekend, and there'll be a big party. I'm going to at least two plays this month and to Tanglewood to hear the Boston Symphony.
The end of this month it will be a year since the floods that did so much damage, here. There will be some comemoration of that...
I'm Lucy from Louisiana... It's going to be a pretty busy month here. My youngest son starts back to school on Friday, my birthday is the following Monday and my granddaughter will be turning 3 on August 25th.
Yeppers! I'm still here. I forgot about roll call when I was on yesterday. I'm glad I decided to go through and see if there were any new threads started.
I'm Bev, from S. E. Michigan. I'm ecstatic that the heat wave has broken (my windows are open!) and we have gotten some rain. It's supposed to rain on and off all weekend and that's perfectly fine with me. The yard is greening up already and the corn in the fields look like they may be still alive. Is it my imagination or are the stalks a little greener and have some gained a little height out there in the middle of the field? I'd love to take a ramble down to the creek to see if there is any water flowing once again if it stops raining for a while. I guess that can wait until the weekend.
My grandson's 2nd birthday was Aug. 2 and my sister's birthday is today. As far as I know that's it for August. I'll have to check the calendar. to be sure.
In regards to travel, Ellen, you are as bad as me. You know you love to go. I'm done traveling for this year without Chris, but I've already asked him when we are going to Myrtle Beach. All I have to do is some laundry and I'm ready. He has been asking me about Ireland and what I'd like to see there. He's also been on a vacation home rental site and was reading about the location of a studio apartment in the Mont Martre district of Paris and one in the Ste. Germaine district. I sure hope he doesn't try to plan something like that on his own. I'd like to have some say in a trip like that. I'd better get my passport renewal sent in just in case, too.
i'm ellen and i live in georgia.
our granddaughter emily will be 12 tomorrow.
even though i just got back from an extended trip, dh and i are going to texas for two weeks at the end of the month.
I am Melissa from Virginia.

Bev in Pennsylvania. Went to a wedding shower on Saturday for my brother's stepdaughter. I think I'm done celebrating for the month.
