What has got your interest this week?

In case it's still snowing in the frozen north, what are some movies you've seen or are looking forward to seeing?

Replying to my own questions...

Yesterday I finished The Changeling Garden by Winifred Elze. It's a neat concept, but not 100% successful, but a solid B, or even B+ is good, too. The library calls it horror, but it's urban fantasy or magical realism with a smidge of time travel.

Currently reading the surprisingly good Al Capone Does My Shirts.

Next up might be Zoo City or Hollow Earth.

I might go see Oblivion, but I don't have high hopes for it. I am looking forward to Iron Man 3. Oh and Joss Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing in May- June.

Really enjoyed Al Capone Does My Shirts. I was very pleased looking around Goodreads to see that there is one sequel out and another on its way out. It's a young YA or MG novel about a 12 year old in 1935 living on Alcatraz Island, his Dad's a guard, his older sister is autistic and his family is trying to get her her into a special school in San Francisco, eight years before the word 'autism' was first written about.

Now reading Zoo City by Lauren Beukes. It's a science fiction novel set in South Africa, at some unknown time in the future. I've read 149 pages and I still don't get a lot of the premise, I think.

I'm reading The Painted Girls by Cathy Marie Buchanan, Temple of a Thousand Faces by John Shors and Broth of Betrayal by Connie Archer. They are all very different and very good. I finished The Bat by Jo Nesbo over the weekend.

I haven't been to a movie in ages. I wanted to see Les Miserables but I just didn't get around to it.

The week mentioned, I was reading Earthfall by Orson Scott Card and The Hobbit and listening to A Town Like Alice by Nevil Shute (I really thought it was delightful).

This week I am reading Lee Child's Without Fail (Jack Reacher series)

800x600

Julia I had no idea Joss Whedon was doing Much Ado About Nothing in May- June - thanks for the tip.

I saw Iron Man 3 yesterday, it was really good.
