No plans for St. Patrick's Day but I have put a shamrock garland around the top of the bus above my head.....

I am down to the last 20 pages of Mai Tai One on by Jill Marie Landis - thank goodness since the local mystery book club meeting is Tuesday March 13.

I've been having a very hard time getting into a book for the past several weeks. I've set aside 3 separate books, not because they weren't good, but I just couldn't fall into the story like I usually do. I think this has more to do with some medication I was taking, rather than a change to my love of reading.

I'm going to try reading The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. I hope this will lead to more writing for me (both in my journal and on my blog), and maybe once I finish that I'll be in a better frame of mind for reading.

We don't have any specific plans for St. Pat's, even though it's my favorite holiday. Dallas has a big parade, which will fall on St. Patrick's Day this year, but DH and I probably won't go. I used to love the parade and go every year, but it tends to be a college-aged, heavy-drinking crowd, and DH and I are just not those people anymore.

Up For Renewal by Cathy Alter -- about a woman who decides to follow the advice in women's magazines to the letter for one year, and the effect it has on her life. As a self-avowed magazine addict myself, I'm finding it both hilarious and enlightening.

Oh, forgot the second part of your question. We're going to hear a local Celtic music group perform on Saturday afternoon.

I just finished finally Pigeon English by Stephen Kelman. It was meh.

Now I'm reading Magic Slays by Ilona Andrews, unless I have to slot a library book in there.

I'll make corned beef & cabbage & my friend is playing music at a bar that night.

Carol, I've been having the same problem re: lack of enthusiasm for reading lately. Not sure why. Part of it's my preoccupation with my new job, but I don't think that's most of it, since I don't exactly read at work!

I just finished Haunted Ground, by Erin Hart and am about to begin The Crazy School, by Cornelia Read.

I have no plans for St. Patrick's Day, other than fixing corned beef and cabbage and having a Guinness, lol.

As for my next read, I don't know what that will be yet.
