I'm just starting Cat's Claw by Susan Wittig Albert. I'm not too fond of her other series but I really enjoy her China Bayles series.

Today is very cool but it's starting to look like spring. Some of the cherry trees, daffodils and tulips are starting to bud or pop up.

Signs of Spring......NOPE - It jumped straight to summer last week with 4 days of temps over 80 and near 85.

We also haven't just had signs of spring, it's like summer!

(I'm concerned it's going to snow, though and mess up all the plants that think it is Spring.) Happy Last Day of Winter! Crocuses have been up. Tulips and daffodills are coming up. Trees are beginning to bud.

Last night I finished Ship of Souls by Zetta Elliott. Today I started Crucible of Gold by Naomi Novik. Tonight for dinner I made chicken n dumplings from the Beekman 1802 Heirloom Cookbook. It was good, made my house smell good. It was a lot like my matzah balls, though. I need to return the cookbook to the library tomorrow.

I have not been able to read much over the last several weeks; I just can't seem to get into a book. Because of a minor back injury, I'm off work today, though, so I'm starting Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter by Tom Franklin. Hoping I can get into it and back into a reading groove.

In Dallas, we seem to have skipped spring and heading straight into summer, but

Ellen,

Hope you are over whatever was ailing you after you left for home so that you can enjoy some relaxing time before your next trip.

Reading The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and I Still Dream About You by Fannie Flagg.

I finished Cat's Claw which was very good. I haven't decided if I'll read Wined and Died by Cricket McRae or Silver Sparrow by Tayari Jones.
