Good morning!  I am presently reading Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger.  So far I'm enjoying it.  I had been reading The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova.  I really like her writing style, but the plot of the book was looking for the living Dracula in present day times.  I think I just had enough of vampires for a while.  I will definitely go back to the book at another time.  It just wasn't what I was looking for to entertain me at the moment.

I checked my library requests earlier this morning.  The next in the Odelia Grey mysteries is in and next China Bayles mystery is in transit.  I am #28 of 36 for Janet Evanovich's book Wicked Business.  Watch it be my turn while my daughter's family is here for Christmas.  That would be just my luck.  Sigh!

I'm currently reading the short story collection Happily Ever After, which has some dark and delightful retellings of fairy tales and fairy- like tales.

Last night I went to a book signing & talk by Lois McMaster Bujold's whose newest book in her Vorkosigan series Captain Vorpatril's Alliance is published yesterday. (Unfortuantely, the copy I preordered hadn't come before the signing.) She was joined by Catherynne M. Valente. I've never read her before, but bought her The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making & had her sign it. If either of them are coming near you, please go see them!

I finished The Secret Keeper and really enjoyed it. Morton is becoming one of my favourites. I'm finishing up The Cherry Cheesecake Murder by Joanne Fluke. I may have a couple of other books hanging around that I'm in the middle of reading that I need to finish or I'll start Mr. Churchill's Secretary by Susan Elia Macneal. I've heard good things about it.
