today i am starting haunted echoes by julie ann howell.
there is very little change of color here in the south. i really miss the pretty tree colors.
I'm reading Making Toast by Roger Rosenblatt. I'm about 1/2 way through and it's just so-so but since it's short I'll finish it. Next up is The Queen of Palmyra by Minrose Gwin.
We get some color but the west coast doesn't get the beautiful colors that the rest of the country does.

I recently started reading Cleo: The Cat Who Mended a Family by Helen Brown. It's really good so far.
I also live in the South, so the leaves don't always change colors. A lot of times they just turn brown and fall off. And when they do change colors it won't happen until probably sometime in November.
Hi all this is my first post to this board.
Right now, I have about 100 or so pages left of An Echo in the Bone by Diana Gabaldon (book 7 of the Outlander series).
welcome to the board, we are so happy you found us.
love your blinkies, i'm a proud army and navy mom.
hope to see you here often.
I finished
jenn,
i read sworn to silence last year and really enjoyed it. i hope you do too.
there are all kinds of glitches going on right now. they are working on them as fast as they can. i personally have not had a problem. for several days i had to log in each time i came to the board but now it's keeping me logged in so that's a plus. lol
Jenn and Ellen,
The second book in the series, Pray For Silence is very good too.
I changed my mind after posting yesterday and picked up The Good Daughters by Joce Maynard instead.
I finished Making Toast by didn't really enjoy it. It's written from the point of view of a grandfather after he and his wife go to live with their son-in-law and three small children after the sudden death of their daughter. I don't know what was missing but it felt emotionless.
