Still fighting this nasty cold, which has by now turned into a sinus infection. I have basically been just dragging myself out of bed for the past week. It's exhausting.

I finally finished Snow Falling on Cedars. Wow, it took me a long time to get through it. It's beautifully written, but the level of detail is excruciating. I'm curious to hear what others who read it thought of it.

Now reading The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker. This one is going much quicker -- I can't put it down! Anyone else read it yet?

Hi Ellen, welcome back!
I'm reading "Gone Missing" by Linda Castillo. It is the 4th in the Kate Burkholder series. I've liked all of them so far!

Ellen, I enjoyed Linda Castillo series as well.

I finished The Song Remains The Same and found it to be just okay. I'm not sure what I feel like reading next. I've got The Lost Wife by Alyson Richman, Under The Hawthorn Tree by Ai Mi, Mr.. Pip by Lloyd Jones and The Quilter's Legacy by Jennifer Chiaverini all patiently waiting in a pile.

I'm just starting The Sugar Cookie Murder by Joanne Fluke. I just heard that it's the 30th anniversary of The Thorn Birds and it made me want to read it again. I'm fairly sure, I have a copy somewhere and if not Maeve Binchy wrote the foreword for the anniversary edition and it might be interesting to read her thoughts.
