Right now I'm reading Love All by Callie Wright. It's an ARC, or advanced reading copy which will be out in July. It takes place in Cooperstown, NY, which some of you know is relatively near where I live, in 1994. It's about three generations of a family, I'm really enjoying it. I mentioned it at a meeting I went to this morning and the Peyton's Place- type novel that scandalized that grandparents, and they may have played a role in, is real. My friend, who owns a used bookstore, said she'd sell it to me for $200!

It's about to be summer in Love All, but the lake is still very, very cold!

I'm going to start Calling Me Home by Julie Kibler and on my kindle I'm reading The Plum Pudding Murder by Joanne Fluke.

The weather is great and it's supposed to stay this way into the weekend.

I finished Love All and liked it a lot.

This morning I finished Chris Crutcher's new YA novel Period 8, which once people have heard of if it, will probably be banned/ challenged like most of his books, because some characters have potty mouths/ talk like many teens/ adults and are going through things many adolescents go through. I liked it, but I'm not sure I loved it, like I have some of his previous books. It's spring in this book and two characters are long distance swimmers in a very cold lake.

Just started Tricked by Kevin Hearne, which is #4 in his Atticus O'Sullivan UF series set in Tempe, AZ. I imagine it's very hot there, they haven't mentioned it yet!

Here, it's overcast and sixty degrees at 1:00 PM, which is warmer than it's been some days lately.

I just finished Calling Me Home by Julie Kibler and really enjoyed it. It's been compared to The Help in lots of the reviews. I love a book that is told in alternating voices and moves seemlessly between the past and the present. This is one of my favorite books that I've read this year.

I stated The Little Bookstore of Big Stone Gap last night. So far, it's just okay.
