So what book or books do you have going this week?

The year's nearly half over. What are some of your favorite books so far this year?

Tricked by Kevin Hearne that I mentioned I was reading last week didn't take place in Tempe, AZ, but on the Navajo Reservation, in Tuba City, Kayente and a bit in Flagstaff.

You Don't Know Me by David Klass is about a teenage boy who is abused by his mother's boyfriend.

I've read enough of Raising Resilient Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders: Strategies for Helping Them Maximaze Their Strengths, Cope with Adversity, and Develop a Social Mindset by Robert Brooks, Ph.D., and Sam Goldstein, Ph. D. It's an interesting premise.

I'm about to start to reread The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula K. Le Guin.

Zoo City and Code Name Verity are among the best books I've read this year.

I reading Secrets From The Past by Barbara Taylor Bradford which was sitting on the shelf of new books at the library. I haven't read one of her books for years so I picked it up.

I wasn't great at keeping a list of books this year but I remember enjoying The Sound Of Broken Glass by Deborah Crombie, Gone Girl by Jillian Flynn and The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom. I just finished Calling Me Home by Julie Kibler this week and really enjoyed it. It was kind of a Driving Miss Daisy meets The Help.

I'm reading Novelties and Souvenirs - collected short fiction - by John Crowley.

I don't record the titles of  the books I read; I'll think  about this and post my favourites later.
