Aw to the separate visits on the big day, but I totally understand not being comfortable helping MIL when she's refused you entry in her kitchen for so long! I hope it isn't a very hectic day with the travelling!

Love your snowman graphic, Brenda!

Do you have your presents wrapped?

Almost all of them. Will either sneak a bit of time during the day tomorrow for the boys' gifts (in my bedroom where they can't see) or in the evening when they're asleep. Otherwise, I just have the dog and cat treats to wrap. Nothing's under the tree in case the kitten would shred the packages.

Any baking going on?

We made sugar cookies yesterday morning and put coloured icing on them in the afternoon. Also made candy cane cookies after supper.

What celebrations will you have this year?

On Saturday, we're meeting at Sis #2's house for an early supper. Sis #3 is flying in from the coast and staying at the parents' house, so she'll be there. Hopefully Sis #1 will feel like making the drive after her day at work 'cause that would make the whole family in one house!

On Sunday, we might have my mother-in-law here for a morning visit - if it doesn't snow much. Otherwise it's just our little family at home for stockings, gifts and Christmas dinner!

On Monday, there's another family gathering for my side - the 26th is our day to visit grandparents and since 2008, that means going to my parents' house with the kids. (Today I had tears springing up at the thought of how my grandpa once gave me tips on wrapping Christmas gifts. I miss that gruff old man!)

Anyone traveling?

About an hour to my parents' place (slightly shorter from spring to fall with a mountain pass but not worth risking in the car during the winter) but otherwise we're close to home since Sis #2's house is just across the village. :)
