Anyone else a busy bee so far this summer?

I want life to slow down a little! No time to read since I started the writing challenge on the 1st and I'm slightly behind on that, too. Boo.
In good news, Tim doesn't have anything scary going on behind the really, really bad constipation, just a bad habit of not waiting to finish the job before playing again... He has to take the same oral purgative as before in a higher dose and for four weeks instead of two. We'll see the pediatrician in 5 weeks and hopefully he'll be cleared out. He gets to drink whatever he wants to keep hydrated, so this may be encouraging bad habits in the future... Our pediatrician actually spoils kids to compensate for the medication and visits - in fact, he even gives every kid a popsicle each visit (provided they're old enough, that is).
All right, I have housework to do if I can manage it while the boys are awake, then I'll try to knock off most of the daily writing goal during their nap. Tomorrow I'm off to my hometown to get contacts for the first time and I may get behind on writing as well. Friday better be a reading and writing day to kick off a weekend of relaxation!
I feel like I have been a busy bee all year and them some.
I don't think will be slowing down soon though. This fall they both start school, and Julia will likely be getting swim lessons. I also promised DH that we would come watch him bowl a few times.

Busy??
Â
I am not much of a camping person but the place sounds great.....especially the re-created fort.
Well, I guess I am always busy, LOL. I have realized that it is better to keep my kids busy than just sitting at home in the summer, so we go swimming someplace almost every day. We have a season pass to the water park, go to the lake, the gym pool, and then once in awhile the aquatics center. Baseball is starting next week so we will have games a couple times a week at least. It is a relaxing busy, though, much better than our school year. I am able to read a lot, too, while they swim!!!
I think I'm going to drop one thing off the list of current activities - I'm having a hard time keeping up with the writing challenge and I'd rather write more regularly year-round than cram all my writing activity into a couple challenges per year. But giving up altogether isn't cool in my books, so I might make it 50k in two months as my cousin (a mother of three kids) is doing. A modified challenge might work for the summer and then there's still the prospect of doing the November challenge (the one my cousin calls the "true and original NaNo." ;)
I have been super busy this weekend, and will this week as well.
