I want life to slow down a little! No time to read since I started the writing challenge on the 1st and I'm slightly behind on that, too. Boo.

In good news, Tim doesn't have anything scary going on behind the really, really bad constipation, just a bad habit of not waiting to finish the job before playing again... He has to take the same oral purgative as before in a higher dose and for four weeks instead of two. We'll see the pediatrician in 5 weeks and hopefully he'll be cleared out. He gets to drink whatever he wants to keep hydrated, so this may be encouraging bad habits in the future... Our pediatrician actually spoils kids to compensate for the medication and visits - in fact, he even gives every kid a popsicle each visit (provided they're old enough, that is).

All right, I have housework to do if I can manage it while the boys are awake, then I'll try to knock off most of the daily writing goal during their nap. Tomorrow I'm off to my hometown to get contacts for the first time and I may get behind on writing as well. Friday better be a reading and writing day to kick off a weekend of relaxation!

I am always so busy! I feel like I am constantly trying to stay caught up on house work. I always seem to need to go shopping, and there is always a family get together. We also try to work in visits to fil and other family. We try to take the kids to do fun things all summer too. When we are home, I try to have them outside for about 3 hours every day because they LOVE the outside!

I don't think will be slowing down soon though. This fall they both start school, and Julia will likely be getting swim lessons. I also promised DH that we would come watch him bowl a few times.

I am not much of a camping person but the place sounds great.....especially the re-created fort.

I can't believe how fast this summer is going! I was just hired as a tutor for a homeschool co-op for three hours a week for 24 weeks. I will be teaching the 4 & 5 year olds. I have three days of training next week and need to get all the curriculum. My terrific two will be taking the afternoon class. I am trying to plan a surprise baby shower for my older dd and trying to get a hold of someone to let them know I haven't had my homeschool review for this year. I may be able to slow down in say...hmmm, maybe November. :P

Well, I guess I am always busy, LOL. I have realized that it is better to keep my kids busy than just sitting at home in the summer, so we go swimming someplace almost every day. We have a season pass to the water park, go to the lake, the gym pool, and then once in awhile the aquatics center. Baseball is starting next week so we will have games a couple times a week at least. It is a relaxing busy, though, much better than our school year. I am able to read a lot, too, while they swim!!!

Since the kids are so young, they seem mostly content with playing In our yard, but it's good to have errands and outings planned for some of the time.

I think I'm going to drop one thing off the list of current activities - I'm having a hard time keeping up with the writing challenge and I'd rather write more regularly year-round than cram all my writing activity into a couple challenges per year. But giving up altogether isn't cool in my books, so I might make it 50k in two months as my cousin (a mother of three kids) is doing. A modified challenge might work for the summer and then there's still the prospect of doing the November challenge (the one my cousin calls the "true and original NaNo." ;)
