Okay, regular reply isn't working, so no paragraphs from me. Will try to condense what I wanted to write yesterday: Friday night I ended up finishing a miniseries I'd started weeks ago, then forgot about, tsk tsk. (Brad and I agreed to watch The Flight of the Phoenix together Sat night.) I also called my younger sister and chatted for a while, then did some knitting. We had a late start to our Saturday plans but got out before lunch to get Tim a backless booster seat. Along the way on a celebratory road trip, we ordered a cell phone for me. (Not in stock at the store, but they promised freebies and a discount for waiting till Monday's order. Along with the discount the provider is offering, it's going to be an inexpensive upgrade for me!) Then it was off to Dairy Queen for lunch and dessert. Ben was a bit testy once we got home, but he settled down and we had a quiet evening - probably just a bit tired with the busy day.

Today we had a good church outing except for Ben insisting he needed different shoes to go out of the house. Brad promised him a trip for new ones after lunch - Tim had needed new ones and the only styles available had lights, so why not be fair and get Ben something similar if the selection worked out that way... He loves Spider-Man, so he now has light-up shoes with spiders on them! Brad's now working on rotisserie chicken supper and I should be getting to some writing eventually... I want to do it and yet I'm not motivated enough to start, tsk tsk. I could sort laundry and knit first... The things I'll do while avoiding what I should do. LOL

Blech to the snowy, sleety and rainy weather! Karyn~Love the idea of a colorful throw to add that pop of color! ;) I am crocheting a baby girl blanket for a gift right now. I am crazy busy going through packing boxes...if you don't hear from me every few days send in the troops to find me. LOL!

I so agree Ruth.  Prayers for the victims and our country.

My son and his wife are big marathon runners, she has run the Boston marathon, it's such a positive, healthy thing and the events are so upbeat, don't know how they will feel about running them now.   :(

Angie, I volunteer to be part of the search party. We can do tea as you take a break from the boxes. ;)

I would never have imagined a marathon would be the site of a terrorist attack, so strange the reasoning of twisted minds who resort to bombing to send their odd messages. I pray that God's love is evident in the actions of those ministering to all involved, that wonderful things may result from the tragedy and many will draw near to the Father's heart.

It would definitely make a person think twice. My younger sister runs half-marathons and I suppose that a higher level of security at these events may become the norm as a result of Boston's heartbreak.

My new phone arrived yesterday and I was distracted all afternoon, baking and making supper but taking longer because I wanted to customise and test. In the evening, my mind went blank as to the direction I was going to take with my current writing project, so I knitted until I was close to the end of the ball of yarn, then played with the phone a little more. ;)
