August LTP :)

We had a road-trip day. About 90 mins to drive to catch a ferry ride (which might still be the longest free ferry ride in the world) since the boys had never been before. It was fun sharing that with them because I went so often as a kid to visit my grandpa on the other side of the lake.

Then we drove along the lake and stopped for lunch at the end of the winding highway. Lots of farms nearby and a wildlife refuge area as well.

We made another stop at the summit of the mountain pass toward home. The boys were energised from lunch and needed some exercise, so we took a trail around a small lake there. Saw some ducks and the boys had fun throwing rocks into the water (not at the ducks).

Finally, we got ourselves home. I don't know what was in the food we gave them today, but they both really needed the bathroom when we were back. Yikes! Hubby made a light supper while I dealt with that.

Now we're watching A Knight's Tale, and I need to get some reading in today!
