I've only made the corn so far, but it was delicious and I'm eager to do the potatoes as well to see any difference in taste - commenters at the blog compared the corn to steamed, which I hear is very healthy and yummy, but never seem to manage on the stove...

I'm thinking of doing other veggies this way, just have to figure out what to attempt!

I totally agree and I wish I'd heard of it years ago. I love corn on the cob but it's always too hot to make it in the summer, plus I never knew how long it should boil. With the potatoes, I can plan ahead to make them, place them in the pot and then get to the rest of supper closer to eating time (or just make an entire crockpot meal in the morning and leave the house for the day).
