Flu shots, anyone?

We just got our last free ones (since the province provides them for anyone living with high-risk ages, including under 2 yrs old). The boys were really good about it. Tim said "Ow" several times in a crying kind of voice and Ben just said "Ow" a couple times really deeply, which is hilarious in a toddler who tends to be high-pitched or screaming...

Hope we have a good winter without catching any flu strain not included in the vaccine! ;) And I'll be checking out what the price is for next year 'cause I'm betting it'll be worth it!

I just heard of the mist this year, I think. Never been offered that option!

Yeah, it was something I wanted to get done as soon as I could. They haven't been advertising this year as heavily as they previously did, or I've just been oblivious. ;) It usually doesn't start until late October here and when H1N1 was the big scare, I thought the timing was a little slow but thankfully didn't hear of anyone getting that flu.

Not sure if Hubby will try to get in for a shot but as long as we don't get sick in the next two weeks, we're protected!

My son can do it & been using it for 3 to 5 yrs now. Only until one is 49 with the mist. I do not mind the shots.

What does it cost where you are? Does it depend on your insurance? I haven't checked the price here yet, but I imagine it's something like $10/shot. I think that would be worth it, especially since we'd be safer for visits with my mum and dad (one with lupus and the other only a few years away from 70!).
