Cool! Do you find one easier than the other?

I find crochet and my other crafts easier only because I have been doing them longer. A girlfriend of mine knits me dishcloths all the time and she finds it easy but again it is because she has been doing these for a few years.

I also had to fill up today. My car bounces around the 1/2 marker once it gets there and makes me nervous because the needle's off, so that actually means it's at 1/4. I was happy to use a fuel savings reward card for the first time, so I saved a bit.

What's your current project for the stitching? I need to look up Bernat's abbreviations so I can make a crochet dishcloth with pattern this time. If I can learn to read a pattern, I may make a hat or two before I tackle learning to knit! I suspect I might find the two needles more natural than one...

My car gas guage does the same thing --- that 1/4 tank reading is sooo wrong!

I had a kit from Candamar called "Sewing with Mama" which I've been plugging away at since August! I've learned to hate it (the colors that they used do NOT resemble the kit photo at all and I find it a little muddy...). Anyway, I managed to FINISH it! YAY! Hate it but's it's done and now I can move on! Here's a pic:

I found that I CAN crochet but not well. My Gran tried to teach me when I was nine or so and gave up in frustration! But a roomie taught me to knit in college and I'm reasonably proficient at it --- I just don't do it much any more. So I have to pull out the books to relearn things like casting on and all...

1. Name one colour you're wearing right now.

Black

2.

Wow, that's a cool (and big) project! I totally understand the thing about the colours not matching the photo. Very annoying (or when the pattern symbols are clear but all the shades look the same when you're separating the thread).

Glad the movie was good! My younger sis gave my mum the book, so she might lend it to me at some point. Haven't asked yet because I never actually checked what it's about!

Hope the Zumbathon is fun! I think they're doing one here, but I'm not sure if it's a fundraiser or just a community event.

It's about maids in the 60's right before the civil rights movement. It tells their story. Excellent book, and they did a good job of the movie.

Thanks for the info. I like to know when the movies live up to the books. :)
