Friday Five

Should answer my own random questions!

1. We have one dog and one cat. :)

2. I scrub the lino because that's the most effective way to clean it, but I use a Swiffer Wet "mop" for the laminate. When the dog loses the extra winter hair, I have to sweep a lot.

3. I think there are a few trails down where the Scouts have their meetings. Otherwise, there are a couple designated walks that go short, medium and long distances along the village streets. We tend to walk to the post office ("downtown") and back.

4. I'd love to try rollerblading, but don't have the equipment. I think there's a spare bike of Hubby's that I could ride - I'm not big on riding and usually walk instead.

5. Besides reading, I dabble in writing (depending on my level of discipline is, very low or so-so LOL) and I know a few crochet stitches and cross-stitching too. I'm better at short projects than long ones, it seems.

I didn't mention the computer as a hobby, but I spend far too much time on mine. During the day, I'll usually use our desktop and take breaks from housework to chat online. In the evening, I use my laptop to catch up on more chatting if it's been a busy day and also play games (Google+: Gardens of Time, TripleTown and sometimes Bubble Island; Facebook: testing a BBC game that will soon be public). I also use the computers for writing, keeping track of our finances, etc. so it becomes easy to spend a lot of time with the machines!

Is a bearded dragon a little like an iguana? And I didn't know there were robo hamsters, sounds like a hamster robot hybrid. ;) Very interesting pets you have!

I'm looking forward to taking the boys on hikes as they grow. We've been going without a stroller in the past month or so and Ben's doing well. Not sure when he's ready for uneven ground like a hiking trail, but that's one thing I like to do for spring and summer weekends that would probably suit the whole family (well, minus the cat who would stay home).
