I read somewhere that they were closing 30% of them.

It is sad especially them closing one nearby.

So thankful I can use my Local Library to.

I know what you mean about using the local library .
Now my library can link up to other libraries which is a good thing.
How have you been? Glad you still hop around

Is Borders a US-only chain? Haven't heard of any around here.

We'll browse the bookstore if we're already at the mall, but I don't rely on them to stock all the new books I hear about and sometimes the online stores are more reliable.

Libraries are a big part of my family's reading addiction! :)

Oh not sure if Borders only in US. If you never heard of that store, must be then.
I will be mostly at the library now.

Sorry to hear they will be closing your local Borders. I have been relying on the library for a while now. It is nice that your library is linked to others. I am able to request books from the whole state and that is very helpful.

I may have asked this before, but are there any restrictions on the age of the book you're requesting? In my hometown, I was told that interlibrary loans must be a year old, allowing the "home library" for that title to have the book exclusively for the first year. I haven't double-checked whether that's a policy for all libraries or set individually. It can be a bit frustrating when a book is 10 or 11 months old and I want to read it right away...

:smileywink:...lol...oh I get it limping instead of hopping because of the "Changes" here...no I am having some Mobility issues in real life...

It is different now here, takes a bit of getting used to.

Don't deal well with change myself so I understand how hard it's been to adjust.

I do miss the old boards but hopefully am learning how to navigate my way around.

Just takes some time and patience I guess.
