We went to a fun pumkin patch/corn maze yesterday. Then DH and I got to go out on a date while SIL watched all our kids. We came home and watched a movie alone.

Today we'll go to church and then I'd like to get a bunch of stuff done around the house. It's so hard during the week when I am trying to teach school and run the kids back and forth!

A maze sounds fun! Did you pick out pumpkins to carve as well? I'm not sure when we'll do that, but we don't get them from a patch, just the store. (Sounds kinda boring. ;) )

Yay for a date! Some weekend when MIL or my parents aren't busy, we should go to a movie. Or to save money, maybe take a hike on a trail the boys couldn't handle just yet and bring a picnic lunch?

I know I'm blessed by our recent routine during the week - a couple busy mornings but then I have the afternoon to tackle some cleaning and cooking and at least one day to spend at home. Things will definitely change when the boys are old enough for school and extracurricular activities.

We got the pumpkins at the grocery store right after, cheaper and better pumpkins! The kids did a great job, even Cedric, the 6 year old!!!

Yes, it is hard to get anything done! I have kids around constantly, or I'm running them or my parents somewhere. I guess it will depend if you decide to send your boys to school, or homeschool them, how much extra time you have!

I debated between a large or medium pumpkin - the large one would look great and could have a large hole for cleaning out, but then it would have more to clean. I'll take less for now until Tim and Ben are doing most of the work. ;)

The boys will be going to the school right down the road, so Ben and I will walk Tim there next September. Right now I'm driving to speech therapy, preschool once a week in the city (free and includes parenting training!) plus grocery shopping and the occasional trip to my hometown to visit my parents (and a playgroup there). That keeps us busy enough for my tastes. ;)

One week left till Tim's birthday! Yay! (Must try to get the shopping done this weekend while one parent keeps the boys occupied and the other pays for the gifts.)
